The stories were filed away - and rediscovered in April 2002. An unsuccessful attempt was made to locate Mr. Hooper on 9 April 2002. The stories include memories by Mr. Hooper from his World War II service in the Gilberts-Marshalls campaign and his tour in Hawaii, and with the 14th Air Force and the 502nd Group during the Korean War.
