Access to Oral History Material

The goal of the Marshall Library is to make all of the oral history material available to researchers on the same basis as the manuscripts.    The Marshall Library does not hold the copyright to the tapes and transcripts in the oral history collection, therefore, the following guidelines apply to the use of this collection:

• Tapes and transcripts can only be viewed in the Marshall Library Reading Room
• While the archives is authorized to furnish a photocopy of a portion of a transcript, the reproduction is not to be used for any purpose other than for private study, scholarship, or research. 
• If any use exceeds "fair use" then the  researcher may be in violation of copyright law (Title 17, United States Code)
